Karakoram/ Karakorum (Leutheros Pomme Cafe'ka) (22”/ 56 cm x 27”/ 69 cm, frame not included), oil on canvas – This painting is a tribute to the great German/Czech writer Franz Kafka. The title of this painting is derived from the ancient Mongolian capital of Karakoram. The theme of the painting is diversity, the word white is written throughout the painting in 13 languages (German, Dutch, French, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, Ukrainian, Spanish, Greek, Portuguese, Korean, Italian, Arabic), and the backdrop is the snow powdered Karakoram mountain range. Also layered underneath the white is the words Leutheros Pomme Cafe'ka written in red. This is the tribute.
