Welcome to an explaintion of poetry by American Artist Ansel Horsman!
Contemporary Oil Painting, Poetry, Fine Art
The poetry of the American Painter Ansel Horsman has a purpose to be complimentary to his oil paintings in every possible way. The poetry is included with all his oil paintings and is simply attached, usually to the back, of the fine art work and is meant to be not only part of the painting but is actually included with ownership of the painting. The poetry is written in the artist’s hand with an old time quill and ink and is written on Egyptian papyrus. The poetry’s subject matter is typically related to the painting but does have a quality of social justice. It is the artist hope to enrich the viewer of his paintings by influencing the audience’s thought with the writings so that one may have a more complete art experience.
